Stevie is a mischievous little boy. Even though he likes his bed a lot, he truly does not like being sent to bed early when it's still bright outside. So, one day when he is told to go to bed while it's not quite dark, he thinks of what to do. He writes a wish in a little note and puts it in a wish tree. Stevie's wish is for all the neighbourhood animals to kiss him goodnight twice. This is the only way he can go to sleep. There are a lot of animals in Stevie's neighbourhood and even under his house. In addition, Stevie's house is not far from a zoo. Soon, there are lots and lots of animals lined up waiting to enter Stevie's house to give him two kisses goodnight.

I liked this book for many reasons. The most important lesson that this book teaches is how children should take care of their room before going to bed and after they wake and how they should groom themselves in the mornings before going to breakfast. I also liked how there were mentions of different kinds of animals. Even I learnt about some animals that I never knew about before reading this book. The editor did a good job and the absence of errors made reading smooth and pleasant for me.

There was nothing I disliked about this book. For the aforementioned reasons, I rate it five out of five stars.

A Second Kiss Goodnight by Steve William Laible is a book for children that teaches the benefits of a goodnight kiss and the real secret about parents and goodnight kisses. I recommend the book to children who are a little older and do not require pictures in a book in order to be interested in it. Grown-ups who enjoy goofy stories will also enjoy it.
