"Children must be taught how to think, not what to think." -Margaret Mead

This book follows the journey of two friends, Spiker and Crispin, in their daily lives, where they meet challenges and overcome them. Spiker and Crispin learn the concepts of joy and optimism along the way.

One of the main reasons why I adore children's books is that they make me appreciate the simple things in life. This book, for instance, made me realise that there are many things in my life that I need to be grateful for. Lessons learned by even me as an adult are invaluable. I am sure that children will benefit in the same way from the book. Also, their perspective will change; they will not view problems as a demotivating factor but rather try to find the positive side of the situation. Furthermore, the illustrations were vivid and immersive. Insects were drawn looking cute and friendly. Thus, children who are afraid of insects will not be repulsed by the book. Moreover, the illustrator paid attention to minor details. Even the page borders are designed, giving the book a rich touch. Having questions at the end of the book was a thoughtful addition that would motivate any reader to pay attention to the story. It can also provoke children to think beyond their comfort zone. The book was professionally edited, with no grammar errors that I could find.

I could not find anything to dislike in the book. Everything I enjoy in a children's book is included in it.

Parents and teachers should consider this book since it can teach valuable life lessons to children in a fun way. Children between the ages of six and eleven will enjoy this book best. However, every child can read this book. Considering all the above arguments, I rate this book five out of five stars.
