"The Elephant(s) in the Room" by Denny Laake and Monica Laake Beavers is undeniably one of the funniest children's books I've ever read.

Sammy the Weasel was enjoying his afternoon candy bars when Kramer the dog rushed over, declaring the presence of an elephant in the house. Sammy suggested that Kramer may have mistaken a mouse for an elephant. Nevertheless, the dynamic duo put on their detective hats and set out to solve the mystery.

But did they find an elephant in the house? There's only one way to find out.

I appreciate the book for many reasons. First, as mentioned earlier, the book is incredibly hilarious, especially the exchanges between Sammy and Kramer. While fiction allows the impossible to become possible, the scenarios presented in this book are beyond imagination.

Can you imagine a tiny mouse adorned with jewels and a person riding on it? You're in for plenty of these silly and hard-to-imagine situations.

While reading the book, I pondered what makes Sammy the Weasel so confident. To my surprise, he even suggested that they advertise their detective services.

The illustrations are exceptionally well-crafted, and I can't express enough appreciation for the illustrator, Monica Laake Beavers. In addition to captivating children's attention, the illustrations significantly enhance the reading experience. The characters' facial expressions, especially the confused Kramer's, are the cherry on top.

The language and messaging are also clear, and small children can follow the narrative easily. The book is exceptionally well-edited, and I did not encounter a single error. Additionally, given that it is a children's book, it is entirely free from profane words.

Overall, I dislike nothing about this book. Therefore, I wholeheartedly give it a perfect five-star rating and recommend it to parents, elder siblings, and adults looking for a gift for a child below ten.

"The Elephant(s) in the Room" is the perfect gift for your kids if they love animals and playing detective. You can either get them a copy and send them off on an adventure in quest of the truth or read it to them at bedtime. They will love both equally.
