Review of Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids
One of Emma's greatest wishes at the moment is for God to allow her to visit heaven again. Emma's first visit to heaven with her sister, Bella, was blissful, and she prayed this continued. Moreover, her dad has just made her understand that there must be a reason why God allowed them to have such an experience. When God finally answered Emma's prayer, she was overwhelmed by both the amazing and horrific experiences. What could those be?
I liked that the account of Emma's supernatural experiences was kept short and complemented with the necessary illustrations that would enable children to form a mental picture of those scenes and incidents. Also impressive is the way the account was presented. It seemed like a conversation, a family meeting. This makes the whole thing inviting, enabling children to become active readers and participants.
The language used in various sections of the story is just right. There are times when it evokes feelings of a happy home, supernatural bliss, and caution to live a righteous life. The references to the Bible were another great addition to the story's credibility. The similarities between what Emma narrated and what is written in the Bible are clear to any unbiased mind. Another thing that blew my mind was Emma's testimony of meeting some of the people mentioned in the Bible. This will prove a big challenge to those who think the biblical story is a fairytale.
As regards the editing, this book was thoroughly edited and free of grammatical errors. I didn't dislike anything while reading this book, so there is no complaint to report. It's my pleasure to rate "Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids," written by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul, five out of five stars because it made a whole lot of positive impacts in my life. There is no reason to lower the rating.
I recommend this book to every Christian child. The book is better suited for Christians, but anyone open enough to read the personal account of supernatural experiences outside their faith should learn one or two things from it.
