Review of Roarasaurus
Would you believe it if you were told that a dinosaur toy can roar and fly unendingly even without a battery? Well, this is the central story in this children's book, "Roarasaurus: The Roaring Soaring Dinosaur!" written by Great-Aunt Rita (and she really is GREAT!) with lots of help from Jake and Elina Farber. Great-Aunt Rita didn't expect any drama when she purchased a special dinosaur toy for Jake, who happens to love dinosaurs so much, but that is what it is. How do you think that Great-Aunt Rita, Jake, and Elina, Jake's sister, will handle the pandemonium now that the dinosaur roars and soars around the whole house?
I think the first thing readers should know is that the incidents narrated in this book happened real. They are not fictitious. As can be seen, the authors are also characters in the story. I liked every bit of the narrative because, irrespective of how hard it might prove to believe that the dinosaur roared and soared for days, the authors used simple and engaging language, making me feel like, "Well, this is one of those strange things that do happen."
I appreciated the personality of Great-Aunt Rita. She gets along so well with her nephew and niece that she knows a whole lot of things about them, like Jake's love for dinosaurs. She calls Jake great-nephew and Elina great-niece, helping them to find value in themselves. Great-Aunt Rita has demonstrated that being a reliable friend with children can be a great thing. We get to know them better and understand their aspirations. Such a bond can also make children comfortable enough to discuss their worries with us, which will enable us to know when and where to help them.
This story teaches children a very important method of problem-solving. I so much appreciated the advice Jake's mother offered him. The illustrations appealed to me, as they gave a visual representation of some significant scenes in the story. I didn't notice any grammatical errors in the book. Overall, I have no complaints to report about this book.
"Roarasaurus: The Roaring Soaring Dinosaur!" earns five out of five stars for the exceptional narrative, thorough editing, and positive values it offers. There is no need to remove any stars since I didn't dislike anything in it. This children's story is recommended for readers between the ages of five and nine.
