Review of Peanut's Bedtime Adventures
Peanut the bulldog and Winnie the whale prepare to sleep, and the process (brushing their teeth, putting on their socks, and reading a gripping bedtime story) is going smoothly until Peanut's mother informs her there is a phone call she needs to answer. Peanut is excited by the news she has just received from the caller. Who could that caller be? What could that news be?
But the issue now is that Peanut is unable to fall asleep due to the high emotion. She tries some tricks to fix the issue, but they are not working. Now, her parents are getting annoyed by her actions. This is getting serious. Peanut might lose that experience she so much can't wait to have if she continues this way. Something needs to be done. Now, Winnie comes up with a suggestion. What could that be, and will Peanut be willing to practice it?
"Peanut's Bedtime Adventures" is a children's story written by Corri Lynne and Mike Watterson. The authors are specialists in mindfulness and meditation and have decided to infuse their knowledge into a children's story with a view to helping children better understand their emotions, relieve themselves of unwanted and excess tensions, and thus be free and ready to have a blissful, satisfying sleep. I am impressed by the great job they have done with this.
I found the narrative on pages ten, fourteen, and fifteen most impactful. Page ten highlights how the heart responds to thoughts and emotions and how the entire body picks up from there, while pages fourteen and fifteen guide readers on how to take control of these. The illustrations were great. I didn't come across any grammatical errors in the book. I also do not have any complaints to report about this book.
It's my pleasure to rate this book five out of five for the helpful tips on how to relax the body and mind for quality sleep. "Peanut's Bedtime Adventures" is recommended for children ages three to six. Those who do not fancy the Sleepy Sea and Sleepy Mermaids narrative can still apply the information in this story to their preferred point of contact.
