In Stevie Tenderheart Books A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story) by Steve William Laible, readers are introduced to Stevie Tenderheart, a young boy blessed with a vivid and creative imagination. Bedtime, especially in the summertime, proves to be a challenge for Stevie, much like any other child. To tackle this nightly struggle, Stevie devises a plan. He pens a note addressed to all the creatures in his neighborhood, seeking their assistance in lulling him to sleep. Read the book to discover the enchanting measures taken by the animals.

What I liked about the book was its entertaining nature. Beyond merely focusing on the basic theme of animals and their kisses, it goes a step further by introducing lesser-known facts about animals to children. The inclusion of intriguing details, like cows having four stomachs or the special treats that horses enjoy, added an educational dimension that enhanced the overall reading experience. Stevie's playful teasing of the readers adds an extra layer of amusement, making it particularly engaging for children.

Moreover, I enjoyed the interactive aspect where the storyteller engages with the audience during the story, creating a more immersive experience. Another aspect that I liked was the addition of steps at the end of the book. These steps encourage children to take care of themselves under the guise of checking for surprise animal visitors, adding a thoughtful and educational touch to the narrative.

I found nothing to dislike about the book. With its engaging storyline, diverse characters, and language tailored for young readers, this book stands out as an excellent addition to children's literature. The combination of creativity, education, and interactivity makes this bedtime story a delightful experience for both parents and children alike. So, I rate the book 5 out of 5 stars for its outstanding blend of entertainment and education.
