"Stevie Tenderheart Books: A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story)" by Steve William Laible is about a little boy named Stevie Tenderheart who loves dreaming at night but always has trouble falling asleep quickly. One night, Stevie hatches a clever plan to help him fall asleep faster. He writes a note and leaves it in a special tree, inviting all the animals and creatures in his neighborhood to visit his bedroom each night to give him a "second kiss goodnight."

Word quickly spreads throughout the land about Stevie's unique request. All kinds of animals from the local zoo, farm, forests, and neighborhoods agree to participate. Every evening just after dusk, a long conga line of animals forms at Stevie's house, each taking their turn to give the boy a goodnight kiss and then another one for good measure. Soon all the children on Stevie's street are curious about the commotion and start watching from their bedroom windows each night.

The second kiss routine works like a charm for Stevie, quickly helping him drift off to sleep each time. However, as more children join in and demand second kisses of their own, the procession of animals delivering nightly kisses grows very long. Managing the exponentially increasing line becomes a daunting task, and chaos often ensues, with animals accidentally causing mischief in the neighborhood during the rushed kiss delivery. However, the animals and children all look forward to the nightly tradition, which brings smiles and happy dreams for all. How did things go from there? Go ahead and grab the book if you want to read more.

This is a fairly short children's book but very interesting and captivating. The writing style is engaging and accessible, making it a perfect bedtime read for children. The story's pace is also well-maintained, which will keep readers captivated from start to finish. I must also mention that the unique plot and storyline enhance the overall experience; it's intriguing to read Stevie's world come to life in this amazing narration.

The book is a heartwarming and imaginative children's bedtime story that is really entertaining to read. Since I didn't find any negative aspects to mention, I award the book 5 out of 5 stars. The editing seems professionally done to me.

Harmony in chaos. It's all a matter of perspective.
