Stevie Tenderheart Books A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story) by Steve William Laible is a children’s book that is part of the Stevie Tenderheart series. The story follows Stevie’s nighttime routine and all the ways he tries to delay going to bed. This time he has the brilliant idea of calling all the animals to give him a second goodnight kiss after his parents have given him the first. Laugh along with Stevie as he waits all night for all sorts of animals to kiss, lick, or even nibble on him!

Reading this book was so much fun! It's the second one I have read in the Stevie Tenderheart series, and it was even better than the first! I read it with my eight-year-old niece, and she had so much fun learning about how the different types of animals give out their kisses. My favorite part was that we even made a game out of it. Every time a new animal got mentioned, we stopped reading to guess whether Stevie would like it or not.

There is nothing we did not like about this book! It was a very funny bedtime story! We read a few pages each night and then chose which animal we would like to kiss us goodnight. The writing style surprised me a lot as it made the reading experience extremely smooth and enjoyable. There were a few rhymes in each paragraph that made us feel like we were almost singing a song at times.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. This one is definitely my favorite Stevie Tenderheart book to date. It is educational and very entertaining at the same time. We laughed a lot and learned strange facts about different species of animals in the process! The book is also without a doubt exceptionally well edited. I didn’t find a single error in it.

I would recommend this book to all parents. It's a great story to read to your child before bedtime!
