Review of Stevie Tenderheart Books A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story)
Do your children start tantrums when it’s bedtime and they do not want to go to sleep? Do they have a hard time sleeping? Stevie Tenderheart Books A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story) by Steve William Laible is an interesting and fun children’s bedtime storybook that will not only help you as the guardian put your children to bed but also help your kids sleep faster.
Stevie hates bedtime. Although he loves dreaming, he often has trouble falling asleep. He then comes up with an idea to help him find sleep quickly. He writes a wishful note and leaves it on a particular tree. The note stated that he could not fall asleep on his own and requested all the animals and creatures in his neighborhood to help him so he could sleep. All the animals and creatures were to kiss him not only once but twice on his cheek, brow, or head. The word goes around the neighborhood and all creatures, whether beaked or not, small or big, line up to kiss Stevie. Do the animals’ kisses help Stevie fall asleep quickly?
What I liked the most about the book was the spirit of communism that the animals showed. When they heard that Stevie had trouble sleeping, the animals and creatures came to help him. From this, the children will learn to be selfless and help their friends whenever they have challenges. The kisses the children receive before bed make them feel loved, cared for and safe. Therefore, parents should intentionally give their children goodnight kisses, assuring them they are loved and wanted.
I disliked nothing about the book; rather, I enjoyed the vivid descriptions throughout the book. They will help children make mental images of what the author is describing. This sends them into a fantasy world, making the whole reading experience enjoyable and engaging. I also loved the various lessons children learn from the book, such as always living by the rules and respecting and obeying them, whether they want to follow them or not. This will help children grow into obedient and responsible individuals in society.
The book was professionally edited since I only found one mistake in the entire book. For the reasons listed above in the previous paragraphs, I award this book five out of five stars. I recommend this book to children since they will feel loved and cared for and fall asleep quickly. I also recommend it to parents since they will learn the secrets that will help them promptly put their children to bed.
