Review of Stevie Tenderheart Books A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story)
Stevie Tenderheart book’s, "A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story)" by Steve William Laible, is a children's bedtime storybook. The story begins with a sweet little boy named Stevie Tenderheart, who seems to be the main character in all of Stevie Tenderheart books.
In the beginning, Stevie Tenderheart's story introduces what he likes and dislikes, which I can relate to. For example, Stevie goes to bed during the summer when it feels like evening but it's not quite night yet. The entire book revolves around Stevie's dream, where he imagines various animals giving him goodnight kisses. One kiss isn't enough, so he receives two kisses from each animal, which explains the book's title. Later on, Stevie invites the children from his neighborhood to join in the kissing line, and all the animals give them a second kiss goodnight too.
It's wonderful how the author expresses words so beautifully. The book also has a touch of humor, which adds to its charm. By the end, it teaches valuable lessons about bedtime, like the importance of receiving kisses from parents, and even some mischievous advice, like checking your bed for clues if you think animals kissed you. The author has truly done a remarkable job with this piece. And those quotes at the beginning and end of the book are quite lovely too.
In conclusion, the title is clever and creative, and the book itself is wonderfully original and unique. I'm confident that this story will become a favorite bedtime tale for every child who listens to it. The length and pacing are just right, and the writing quality and style are exceptional. Despite a few minor, hardly noticeable errors, there are no significant flaws. I would happily read this book again and again because its plot always brings joy to my face. Due to its nearly flawless execution and its valuable teachings combined with its status as one of the best bedtime stories, I give this book a full 5 out of 5 stars.
