Stevie Tenderheart Books A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story) by Steve William Laible is a children’s bedtime story. It is a wholesome story about a boy named Stevie Tenderheart who needs to be kissed goodnight twice by every single animal in his neighborhood.

Stevie Tenderheart is a silly boy who has very vivid dreams. This story is about one of those dreams. Young Stevie does not like to go to bed when it is still bright outside, as it is hard for him to fall asleep. So one day, he comes across a creative way to delay bedtime and help him fall asleep quickly. This included him requesting every single animal creature in the neighborhood for two goodnight kisses each. As the days proceed, more and more animals start to join in the tradition, and this story tells Stevie’s experience with them in a fun way. It leads to a few hiccups as the days go along, keeping the reader’s interest at its peak.

I found this story very amusing and entertaining. It is knowledgeable as it talks about many animals and their habits, which is always a plus when it comes to kids’ stories. I enjoyed the third-person narrative, which makes it a perfect candidate for a bedtime story. I really like the end of the story, as it soothes the mind of the listener and helps them swiftly fall asleep. This book is professionally edited. I did not find anything I disliked in the story.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. It is a good bedtime story for the children, and it is also fun to read for everyone. I would recommend this book to all parents looking for a bedtime story to read to their kids and for the kids to read for themselves.
