This book is an amazing book. It tells the story very well and how to treat people like me as an equal. I compete in special Olympics where I live so seeing that 10% of all sales of this book will be donated to special Olympics made me happy. Now back to the book itself. Very well written and no grammar issues at all along with no typos I am giving this book a 4/4 due to how eloquently written this story is. This had me with all emotions. I was happy, sad, scared, angry I was crying during the sad parts, angry at the bullying parts and happy at the ending of this book. I am like Donny not in the sense that I have Down syndrome but I have autism and a host of other disabilities that I got bullied for all through out my school years and I still get bullied for. I also relate to the big protective sister as I would always stand up for my friends who have disabilities too. The book shows the bond between a brother and a sister like no other bond that you would see between two neurotypical brother and sister. The way she helped take care of him and watched over him was so heartwarming to read about. I would definitely recommend this book to families of special needs children to read to their siblings that don’t have any special needs to help them to understand about how they too can help their special siblings to flourish in a society that sees us like we are vermin that can be disposed of. I really enjoyed reading this book. I took me an hr and a half to two hrs to read the whole book. I was saddened to know that lucky the penguin passed away but I am definitely going to check out the YouTube videos of him. I really hope that this author will keep writing this series.
