What was your imagination like when you were a little kid? Every person has their own colorful childhood story to tell. There was no expectation to live life to its utmost potential, and everything was tranquil. Now imagine having all the best and loving memories wrapped in one book. Stevie Tenderheart Books: A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story) by Steve William Laible is a fascinating mix of fantasy and affection. It's a book that will envelop parents and children in a blanket of joy, making them feel as though they are surrounded by happiness.

Stevie Tenderheart is a cheerful, carefree boy who lives his life in vibrant colors. Like many other children, Stevie strongly dislikes going to bed when the sun is still shining brightly outside. However, Stevie still loves to dream while snuggled up in his bed. Yet, sleeping alone proves difficult for him, so he calls upon the help of every animal that lives around his house. Stevie insists that to fall fast asleep, he must receive not one but two kisses from every beautiful creature. He sends out letters, which are received by grasshoppers, toads, snakes, woodpeckers, and a myriad of other creatures. This leads to a grand celebration, with long lines forming outside Stevie's home.

I really liked the book. It's filled with amusing and memorable anecdotes about the animals that come to give Stevie their goodnight kisses. Giraffes bestowed upon Stevie some dreadfully slimy kisses that would make his eyes shut. However, the best kisses came from baby lions and baby bears. Even the smelly skunks managed to arrive on time to get a taste of Stevie's sweetness. Monkeys always caused some drama, and horses would munch on dozens of his dirty socks! These incidents are sure to make you chuckle.

There's nothing I dislike about the book. The book is well-edited. I rate it five out of five stars. The author has done an incredible job of sparking children's imagination. Throughout the story, intriguing questions are posed directly to the children to keep them engaged. Additionally, the author provides a procedure for kids to check if they were kissed by the magical creatures while sleeping, which is a nice touch.

I highly recommend this book to all parents whose children enjoy a good bedtime story. It's vibrant and colorful. The book helps the children to relax and unwind. It also helps them to appreciate various kisses. After all, who doesn't love a second kiss goodnight?
