Stevie Tenderheart Books A Second Kiss Goodnight (A Bedtime Story) by Steve W. Liable is a delightful tale crafted specifically for children aged 4–10. This enchanting bedtime story is designed to help young ones sleep better, making it the perfect nightly companion for a peaceful and restful slumber. The book tells the story of Stevie, who was sent to bed early and had difficulty sleeping. He asked for assistance from all the animals and creatures in his vicinity, seeking their help to give him a second goodnight kiss that would help him drift off to sleep. It goes on to describe the types of kisses that the animals gave him. He didn't like the ones from animals like the giraffe, the pelican, and others. He was straight-up terrified by the kisses from spiders and other animals. My favorite part of the book was when all the other kids in the neighborhood decided that they wanted a kiss too.

The book has a lot of features that make it suitable as a bedtime story for children. I liked how it contained many playful words like "rat-a-tat-tat" and "whole-wide-entire-world," which are funny and enjoyable for kids. It subtly incorporates occasional guidance on children's behavior, such as the importance of going to bed on time and more. For instance, it mentions, “Most horses will chew these treats before swallowing, but horses that gulp large pieces of fruits or vegetables do have a high risk of choking. So there you have it. Please remember this: When you are at the dinner table, chew your food well. Don’t be a horse.” And it describes things in a very imaginative and vivid way that kids will enjoy.

The downside of the book lies in its depiction of animals, like spiders, crawling on Stevie's body and giving him a bite on the lips as a kiss. Although this element was both scary and not, it did not diminish my overall enjoyment of the book. It was well-written and professionally edited. Because of the aforementioned reasons, I am giving it a rating of five out of five. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
