The book Snatched Up to Heaven for Kids by Jemima Paul, Arvind Paul serves as an introduction to Christianity, God, and Heaven for children. It contains colourful illustrations that make reading about Christianity a joyful experience. The visual aids enhance the imagination of children and have been a very good decision. The choice of colours is calming and peaceful, contributing to a serene reading experience. Less stimulating images help children fall asleep upon viewing them, making this book an excellent bedtime story.
Furthermore, the book explains how parents can assist in the thought processes related to faith in children. Dreams are lucidly explained, and verses from the Bible are thoroughly referenced, guiding young children towards devotion to God. The illustrations are color-rich, happy, and create a positive environment for kids. The narrative also delves into the bond of family and sisterhood, emphasizing the role of parents in providing their children with the best life so they can live a better afterlife. The role of the parent as an educator in all aspects of life is clearly explained.
The different aspects of Heaven and Hell, along with the elements present within them, are explained in great detail. As these are complex concepts for children, vivid explanations along with figures facilitate an easier understanding of the concepts. The love of Jesus for everyone and everything in the world is articulated with care, reaffirming the position of Jesus as God. The book acknowledges that people do bad things, yet belief in God takes them a long way even after life on Earth.
This book is suitable for children aged 3-6 years, matching their capacity for interpretation. I recommend this book to parents who wish to introduce Christianity to their children in a gentle and approachable manner. It opens a window to the divine, with teachings that resonate with the gentle minds of children, giving a connection with faith in Christianity.
I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the intended audience. It is a valuable tool for parents to help young minds identify with faith and understand the divine in a way that is tailored to their innocent and inquisitive nature.
