Stevie Tenderheart Books - Billy Jack (The Great Escape) by Steve William Laible is a delightful book. Billy is an intelligent, enthusiastic, and creative kid who is always looking forward to trying new things. This story is about one of his many adventures. This story is based on a true story.

As a child, Billy loved to play with his friends until the sun was up but was forbidden by his parents. But this time, he decided to go against their rule. Usually, his mom tucks him to bed every night. So one night, he keeps pillows and towels in his place on the bed under his clothes. He then escapes his room and goes on an adventure.

There were a lot of things I liked about the book. First, I loved how the author mentioned the meaning of difficult words at the end of the page. It will be helpful, especially for kids who might find the words difficult to understand and read. Second, I enjoyed the narration of the story. The adventurous tale of Billy Jack was what I needed to make my day better.

The book was really fun to read. It was colorful and engaging. I also enjoyed the illustrations included in a few chapters. The book was short, precise, and on point. It is the first book I've read by Steve William Laible. I liked his writing style and would love to read more from him. Throughout the story, I was never bored. There was nothing that I didn't like about the book.

There were no typos or grammatical errors in the book. The editing of the book seemed flawless. The sentences were easy to understand and interpret. For the reasons mentioned above, I rate the book 5/5 stars. Kids and even adults will enjoy reading this amazing book.
