Do you think unicorns are real? Well, I won't try to influence your opinion on this subject, but I will do one thing: invite you to read this intriguing tale, Unicorns Know Magic, written by Charles Adkins. You will read about a little boy and girl's encounter with unicorns (named Abby, Georgia, Bitsy, and Chase), the activities they embarked on, the memories they created, and their opinions about unicorns.

This is a well-written children's story. It is very simple to read, contains refreshing rhymes, and is complemented with bright illustrations. I was really impressed by all the narrative skills deployed into crafting this story, but what especially stood out for me were the rhyming schemes. They were done so perfectly and not only added to the story's depth but also sustained my attention.

In Unicorns Know Magic, Adkins did a great job introducing readers to the unicorn characters in a way that appeared realistic. We learn about their individual abilities (strengths), their not-so-good sides, and their intentional efforts to make it up. Reading about the children's trips with the unicorns was memorable and got me considering a vacation to someplace as friendly and welcoming as those mentioned in this story. I liked that the two siblings got along so well with the unicorns. They even surprised me with their level of composure and understanding, highlighting to readers the essential factors that facilitate great interpersonal relationships.

There are several things to learn from this book, ranging from new French words to good diets and table manners. The story ended satisfactorily, and I couldn't help feeling as excited and nostalgic as the two siblings. I have no complaints to report about this book, and given the intriguing story, the enchanting rhymes, the learning opportunities provided, the colorful illustrations, and the error-free text, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to every child.
