What Did You Do At School Today? is a bright and adorable book. I read it first to myself, and then to my six-year-old. He had been trying to watch television at the time, so he kept telling me he did not want to hear the story, but as I read, he started looking over at the pictures. They are colorful and captivating, and the story is extremely easy to read and has a great rhythm with all the rhyming words. Since it was a weekend, my son kept telling me he could not answer the questions because he had not gone to school, but some questions made him giggle despite his protests.

What Did You Do At School Today? is flawlessly edited and I could not find a single mistake. The pictures are wonderfully drawn and fit perfectly with the corresponding question on each page. I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars and have nothing negative to say about it. I would recommend this book for kids anywhere between Head Start age to around 7 years old. This book is exactly as the title subjects. It is full of questions about what the child did at school that day. Many questions are funny and silly, which will make opening an avenue of discussion with your own child quite easy. Not only will it open this avenue of conversation between the parent and child, but it is also fun to read and could be helpful for the struggling reader due to the rhyming words. I have always found books with rhyme to be easier and more fun for my younger kids who are just starting out reading. The font is also in a large size which will be helpful for kids with poor sight, or with issues such as dyslexia. My 9-year-old son is dyslexic and ended up enjoying this book himself. The rhythm and large font made it quite easy to read without any help, which always boosts his confidence. Overall, this is a delightful book, and I will be looking for more books from this author to add to our collection!
