“No Sense Christmas Poems for Children” is a poem book for kids written by M. J. Cousins and illustrated by Danielle Stephen. This book brings the purpose of Christmas to kids by using different short stories in those poems to make the reason for the season properly understood.

The different aspects of Christmas that are not always in the spotlight are being given a focus here so that the aim of the book can be easily passed across. Christmas characters like Santa, elves, and talking animals were used as means to spark curiosity and make the main story more captivating and interesting. This was how the major lessons about selflessness, helping, and giving with pure intentions were conveyed. Messages of being courageous and following one’s dreams were also part of the main point of the book. It encourages following your heart, even though the means may seem unconventional. It also explained why it is important to always eat healthy to avoid visiting the dentist always. Messages like these ones would greatly help in boosting a child’s self-esteem and confidence to approach areas that may seem unapproachable otherwise. It's a creative way to teach values to kids of all ages.

The images that were in this book were subtle and carried across the message of the stories in the poems. It provided an easier means of understanding what the message of the book was. Visual representations tend to stick to memory easier than text, and this book used that to its advantage. Altogether, it was a complete experience with wonderful morals and visual images that successfully described how Christmas was a season of giving and sharing.

I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars because of the absolutely marvelous way it used the theme of Christmas to show kids the really important things in life. I could not find any negative aspects to it, and I also did not find a single error while reading.
