Who said Christmas can only inspire us to be nicer because of gifts? Who said one can only live by the Christmas spirit in December? Are poems a good method to teach children about the meaning of Christmas? No Sense Christmas Poems for Children by M. J. Cousins and illustrated by Danielle Stephen is a collection of short poems meant to inspire children to be better during Christmas and in their everyday activities.

In No Sense Christmas Poems for Children, M. J. Cousins created a beautiful collection of short poems that are not only easy to read, lyrical, and entertaining, but they will also help teach children some valuable lessons about the season (and life). The poems talk about some important topics like kindness, honesty, friendship, and the true meaning of Christmas. This book will be a favorite among parents and children alike, especially during the winter months. The poems are not only amazing and the illustrations adorable, but the author kindly included some activities, like dances, to keep children entertained while reading this poem, which makes it the perfect schoolbook.

Some of my favorite poems were “Echo the Elf and Charity The Dog,” “B.K. The Working Dog And The Bert Kinder Mall,” and “Mrs. Claus Has A Secret” mainly because I love Christmas stories with pets, but also because I felt that those were the poems that transmitted the message the best, but there was not a single poem that I disliked.

The only complaint I have about this book is that it ended too soon. I would love to read more poems by M. J. Cousins. This is why I am happy to rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. The book has been exceptionally well edited and is completely free from errors.

I recommend this book to parents and teachers. This book is suitable for children of all ages, and those who start learning how to read will have a lovely time reading this book. I am certain this book will even reignite the Christmas spirit in those who stopped believing a long time ago.
