"No Sense Christmas Poems for Children" by M. J. Cousins is an entertaining, interactive, poetic learning book with twenty-seven Christmas poems (twenty-five regular poems plus two bonus poems). All the poems are in free verse form, with all the poems having perfectly tailored illustrations. Santa Claus, elves, reindeer, other animals, and characters appear in the poems. Many poems involve counting exercises, physical activity, and singing or chanting; many also contain morals and values (such as cleanliness, hygiene, kindness, or safety).

I recommend this delightful collection of poems to all parents of young children and everyone who loves Christmas. The poems are perfect for a short bedtime story. These poems could also become a family tradition, handed down through the years to future generations. The fact that these poems both entertain and teach is a bonus to children and adults.

The author, M. J. Cousins, has written three series (No Sense Poems Series, No Sense Stories - 4 Editions, and Forevermore New Horizon Series). Forevermore New Horizon Series is a series of poems for weddings, celebrating life, and saying goodbye. The poems are in free verse format; everything is written for primary children (or the young at heart). Besides being a successful children's author, M. J. Cousins is a teacher and a Wedding Officiant.

I rate this book a 5 out of 5. "No Sense Christmas Poems for Children" is a fun, enchanting read even for adults. This poetry book appears professionally edited; I noted no errors. The short length of the book was the only thing to disappoint; more poems would be a great bonus. My one recommendation is to enlarge the illustrations; I think a size increase in the illustrations would enhance and possibly increase conversation for each poem. "Poem #8 Mr. Moon in the Sky" and "Poem #12 The Three Elves and the Security Crew" were my favorites.
