Mom & Dad Are Always Right by Aimee Andren is a cute children's book full of flowing prose and easy-to-read lines for kids. It's recommended for children between the ages of five and nine, but this book is also suitable for younger kids. It would be a good story to read to a child at bedtime. The author's writing is fun and engaging, which is so important for younger readers.

The illustrations in this book were well done and added another layer to the story. I always like children's books with well-done illustrations because they give younger readers something to connect to the words, engaging them more.

Mom & Dad Are Always Right follows Peter and June as they decide not to brush their teeth like their parents told them to and instead go outside for a bit of an adventure. The adventure turns out to be more than they bargained for when they get chased by a mythical beast and get lost outside. When they finally make their way back home, they vow always to listen when their parents tell them to brush their teeth.

Of course, Peter and June only learn their lessons for a little while afterward. They forget about the dragon and the grounding they got when eating veggies. Just like before, they learn their lessons the hard way, that maybe their parents really know best.

This is a cute and common theme in the book. Where the kids think they know what's best for themselves, only to find out that they probably should've listened to their parents. The parents in this book indulge their little ones and let them learn their lessons on their own when it comes to fighting their bedtime or being kind to each other.

It's relatable to any kid around that age. I recommend this book for any child's bookshelf. It's a fun read that's good for bedtime stories or kids learning to read on their own. There are lessons to learn, but it's written in a fun and exciting way.

This book was well-edited, and I found no errors in my read-through. There was nothing about this book I would change. For all the reasons I listed above, I give it five out of five stars.

Children in this age group are becoming autonomous. This is a great bedtime story to read to remind them that Mom and Dad are always right.
