[Following is a volunteer review of "Toni the Superhero" by R.D. Base.]

[rbc=4]id273738-125[/rbc]'Toni the Superhero' is a book made by R.D. Base. Her purpose in writing this book was to make it easier for kids aging from 0-4 to learn how to read. It is basically inspired by her family, as she have used this method to teach her kids how to read.

This book was obviously about 'Toni'. On what things does Toni likes to do as a kid. I can say that this is really good for kids. The author used simple words and sentences so that children would easily understand and read it. Also, they have used simple yet lively illustrations that would surely caught a child's interest. Each drawing illustrates the sentences written in each page that would make it easier for kids to understand what the statement really means.

I would like to recommend this book to every parents out there as I rate it 3 out of 4. I didn't rated it 4 because this book isn't really for me to read. But not two because I thought this book will be very helpful for kids to practice their reading. And it would be easier for parents to teach their kids if they'll have these kind of materials with them.

A suggestion I could give is that the author could have made it a story, a lesson-learning one. So that kids would learn how to read and also learn a life lesson or values at the same time. It would be a learning material and a story book. At first, parents would read it to them and then teach them the way it was read. But that's just what I wanted it to be. Just in my own opinion.

As of these days, there are so many ways to learn. There's the internet and with just a click and there you go,you could do almost everything. An example of these is YouTube, kids nowadays spent their time surfing the internet. I've witnessed how kids have learned today, even with my own relatives. Some parents prefer their kids to just watch some educational videos from YouTube. In that case, it would be much easier and somehow effortless . But for me, it is also dangerous to let kids learn on their own. They might learn bad things from there. They might watch bad stuffs. That's why it's really good to have these kind of books. It would not be too risky for children and it's a good way for parents to spend time with their kids.
