Serendipity Mystery is the 7th book from the Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi. It is a children book series about Inca, a Siberian cat that runs a detective agency named Inca & Company in London. Her detective team includes her kitty siblings, Fromage and Cara, two bright dogs, Terrence and Polo, their little hamster friend Charlotte and their Kitty friend, Monk.
While on vacation in Sri Lanka with her human mom, the detectives got involved with the case of a stolen ancient sword and other valuable objects from a local museum in the city. The robbery was committed by two thieves who posed as a policeman. Follow Inca and her new and old friends in solving the mystery of missing ancient sword in Serendipity Mystery by R.F. Kristi.
This is the second book in the series that I had read. The first was Diary of a Snoopy Cat, I loved how the author continuously provides light mystery that could be enjoyed by readers of any ages. The main character, Inca is still very likable and since I cats and mystery are my favorites the whole theme was a winning combination for me.
The book still got so many lessons in it that are really good for children. The story provides friendship and teamwork. Like the first book that I had read, this series still demonstrate that class, ethnicity, gender, and culture does not define how we could get along with each other. It shows us that we could still be friends despite the differences between us and we can do what we ought to do as long as we have teamwork.
The storyline is very easy to follow and is really kid friendly. The colored pictures are beautifully crafted which fits the description of the characters. The characters are very adorable which makes the book very interesting and fun to read.
I rate Serendipity Mystery 4 out of 4 stars. The book is really entertaining and filled with interesting details such as values and cultural experiences. Children of any age would really love this book as the plot is very easy to follow and is easy to understand. The characters as well are really lovely and all of them has their own characteristics that fit the storyline, each one is unique in their own way. Overall, I enjoyed reading the book and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves reading light detective stories.
