Serendipity Mystery by R.F. Kristi is the seventh book in the Diary of a Snoopy Cat Series. Inca, the protagonist character, is a Siberian kitty who lives in London with her two siblings Cara, Fromage and their human mother Missy. She considers herself world's best detective cat and is ready to solve any quizzical case.

On its trip to Sri Lanka with her family, she learns that an ancient sword has been stolen from the local museum. Her detective nature could not help but compelled her to start an investigation with her crime detecting friend (Terrance, Meena, Rani, and Python) to find the lost sword and to catch those culprits.

Like all other previous books of the series, this one is also very engaging and entertaining. The beauty of the book is this, it uses multicultural elements on character side like; Inca is a Russian (Siberian) kitty, Fromage and Cara are French origins, and their human mother Missy is half American and half British. Each animal character has a distinctive personality and the author very precisely describe the cultural themes associated with them. In Sri Lanka, Inca faces many new adventures. Once she was lost in the jungle where she meets a leopard and her two cubs. Her friendship circle increases with the addition of a young elephant named Meena, a turtle named Rani, a tiger and monkeys. Inca also visits tea plantation places with her family.

The story is told from Inca's point of view. All characters in the book are well-developed with the inclusion of colorful illustrations which increases the charm of the story. The vocabulary used in the book is easy to understand with only a few difficult words. The important theme of this book is a strong family bond and a team-work to solve any problem. Parents can use these themes to help children learn the importance of team-work and family relationships. The geographical information used in the book is also very informative and would help children know about new cultures, especially of Sri Lanka.

The book is professionally edited and I couldn't find any reasonable typos. Owing to its positive contribution for the protection of wildlife, I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This book has been designed for kids ages 7 to 12. However, it would appeal to both parents and children and those who love animals. The main purpose of the author to write this series is to inculcate respect and care for animals, and I think the author has successfully achieved her target.

An inclusive and lesson-filled story like this deserves to be checked out by a parent, caregiver, or a child who'll benefit from it. I'm wondering whether this piece could stand alone, though, given that it's not the first one on its series. Thank you for your descriptive review.
