Inca is back again to give us a sneak peek at her diary. Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi, is a children's' book meant for children of around 7-12 years. It's the seventh book in the series of Diary of a Snoopy Cat. Inca and her family are on holiday in Sri Lanka- Paris, when an artifact is stolen from the Colombo museum. Inca and her detective instincts don't let the need to search for answers go. Inca & Co.; her detective agency that comprises of her family and friends, start investigating the theft of the ancient sword. In Paris the group of friends makes new friends; that is an elephant and turtle, who also contribute to the search.

Inca is daring and as curious as her species can be. One time she wonders the jungle alone at night, and encounters a python that is very excited to decide whether or not to make Inca its meal. The book gives a lot of educating information about animals that live in Paris and even London. It delves into the turtle and its long life, and a little about the elephant along with other animals. The author also writes about the beauty of landscapes like beaches and jungles in Paris, which are very captivating to read about.

The story portrays the importance of family and friends. It also portrays how to make new friends, when Inca meets the elephant and turtle, and how fun it can be. As usual Inca & Co. have each other’s backs, and stick with their friends. Fromage, Inca's Siamese brother, is still the same cheese-loving troublemaker. He still adds humor and lightheartedness to the book. He’s usually doing mischievous or funny things most of the time. For instance:
Cara watched Fromage with an exasperated eye as he hungrily licked his cone.

“You’re going to drop your ice cream, Fromage,” she said.

“No I won’t,” retorted Fromage.

But true to his nature, Fromage dropped his ice cream cone into the sand-and then continued licking the ice cream, sand and all.

‘See?” Cara exclaimed.
The drawings and illustrations did not disappoint, as usual. They're remarkable and make the plot easier for a child to follow. They are funny and very interesting to look at. They make the whole book so much fun to read. I'd say they would appeal to children a lot. I'd have liked to see images of Inca in Sri Lanka and the landscapes too.

I like the fact that the book is written from a cat’s point of view; that makes it even more intriguing. I am also intrigued by the fact that it’s a diary.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars, because I enjoyed every second of reading it. It has amazing illustrations, and I think it's just perfect for children from 7-12 years. I recommend it to parents with kids of that age group. I'm sure they'll have even more fun reading it with their children than I did reading it alone.

This is a typical children's read. I would refer it to my younger paddies. Thanks for the review.

I hope I can read this book. I've read the first in the series. It was a pretty neat book. I think my children would enjoy them. That's neat that there was a turtle and an elephant involved in this one. Great review!
