Isaiah wrote about things that were going to happen in the future. He wrote about a new branch growing from a tree stump called the root of Jesse. The new branch meant that a new king would come. Author Pamela Nelson retells many stories from the Bible in her children’s book titled Creation to Christmas Around the Jesse Tree.

First, God created the Earth, the sun, and the moon. Next, Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden. Later, there was a great flood. Later still, Moses went to the top of the mountain to talk to God. Each moment was leading to the day that would change the world forever.

This is a children’s book that is meant for families with strong Christian values. I had never heard of the Jesse Tree before reading this book. I was compelled to do a bit of research. This book encourages families to read during the season of Advent. There is a Biblical story for each day. The family is welcomed to create an ornament based upon each day’s story. The family will have twenty-five ornaments to hang on their Jesse Tree for Christmas time. Children ages five to eight would enjoy listening to an adult as they read this book to them. Young readers would also enjoy creating ornaments for their tree.

This book is skillfully written, organized, and edited. The story is told with simple and understandable language. This makes the Biblical stories easy for young minds to understand. There is not one grammar error to be found. The story comfortably flows from one scene to the next making it pleasant to read, and it is sure to inspire young imaginations.

Illustrations are a vital part of any children’s book. The illustrations breathe life into each Biblical story featured in this book. Each picture is beautifully colored and very well executed.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This book is beautifully illustrated. The pictures will engage and delight young readers. Families with strong Christian values will enjoy reading this book together.

In time, I've actually noticed how well written and beautifully illustrated Christian children's stories are. This looks like a great gift for the holidays especially since children and parents could work together to make the ornaments for the tree. Thanks for a lovely review!

I love the activity of creating an ornament after the day's readings! That's such a great idea for kids. It sounds like a really good book for this time of year. Thanks.

As a Christian with a heart for the youngins, I find that many children's versions are watered down. It is encouraging to see that this compilation managed to keep the stories engaging while still simplifying them. I pray it can encourage and shape love in many hearts!

I am not religious, but connecting the bible stories with crafts as the Christmas approaches seems like a lovely tradition to have. Thank you for the review!

This book is properly illustrated. It talks about the advent (expectation) .this book tells us how very very important for children to understand the celebration of Christmas and to also know that the last three weeks before Christmas is called the season of advent or expectations and preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ. It's a book for every family

If the book is as flawless, vivid, uplifting, and appropriate as you've made it seem, then this is another piece for kids, parents, carers, and educators to check out. Thank you for your succinct review.

I love the concept of this book. While this might be the most suitable for children raised in Christian families, I believe others will also find it attractive. Thanks for the great review!

What a lovely book! And so appropriate for Christmas season! The Bible is hard enough for adults, so I'm glad it's made simple and engaging for kids. I had a book like this one when I was a child and I remember it fondly.
Thanks for a candid, honest review.
