Lincoln's Hat and the Tea Movement's Anger: David Selcer takes the reader on a journey through Civil War politics and Lincoln's anti-slavery efforts as Mr Harlan Pomeroy moves as easily from farmer to politicized journalist to support his American ideal that had no room for Socialist concepts attributed to President Abraham Lincoln' s connection to Karl Marx's ideology. From love of free black woman and child to pretense of interest in Comfort, daughter of esteemed editor Harlan seems unscathed by sensitive issues of racism, basic human rights, but he hated that white people could lose economic dominance as freed slaves would no longer work without pay and he aims to stir up anger of the public to shoot and kill President Lincoln.
Detailed review. Congrats on BOTD

Okay, I'm not really a fan of American Historical fiction stories but I can always give it a try. I'll put this on my shelf for now. Thanks for this!

As interesting as this sounds, I couldn't stomach the antisemitism Pomeroy showed so clearly at the beginning of the book. Gonna have to pass right now, but if this were any other time, your review would have made me pick it up.

Thanks kisslany for this review, Sally, a black woman who use her beauty to freight for the right of her people. Pomeroy in love with a black woman denied himself being racist because he love black people. He hated that whites ways of life,
slaves working without pay.I love this book and going for it.
