I completely agree. We seem to keep doing the same things over and over while expecting different results - the definition of insanity. Thanks for your comment!
Although persistence, consistency, and reliability are virtues, you are quite right especially if meant for what's "fair, true, just, and beneficial to all concerned." It's when we're already veering towards undue disadvantage towards others that we should start rethinking our path. No worries and thank you again for your wise words!

I usually don't read sci-fi or time-travel books but I'm fascinated by Nazi Germany, especially novels with well-developed characters. It's great that the author provides context for the German words because it can get confusing or tiresome otherwise.
Your enthusiasm for the novel is truly contagious, thank you!

Though this is the second book, the authors do a great job of getting the reader caught up to what's already happened.
This is so important! It's such a necessary part of a sequel, but it's so often dismissed or not done well. This changes the way the reader approaches the story in the first place, creating an atmosphere either of ease and familiarity or confused wariness. Thanks for your review, kandscreeley! I'm glad you enjoyed the book so much! :)

It's great that the authors took the time to catch everyone up. I very much appreciated that. However, I'm not sure this is a very forgettable novel anyway. Thanks for your comment.
