Thank you for an amazing review. The book sounds interesting and would definitely give this historical fiction a definite read. The emotional turmoil which the protagonist goes through is put across in an impressive manner. A must read in my leisure.

It kind of reminds me of Jane Eyre. Katy seems like a strong character that I would come to love. I added it to my to-read list. Thank you for the recommendation.

A war, seen from the perspective of those left behind at home.
Sounds like a very intriguing read.
Thanks for the great review.

The first part of the review really hooked me. I say to myself, "I love wars. Gonna try this one." But as I finished the review, I realized this is one dramatic novel. Not my thing.

Definitely sounds like an great story that will be full of emotion. I can only imagine the struggle Katy had trying to find her place after her husband went to war. For me my family and taking care of them is my number one thing. So if my husband left for war I would feel lost. I would also worry co instantly about his safety. Sounds like a well written book, congratulations on BOTD.
