It is not possible to address the year 2020 without mentioning the coronavirus. The virus has infected millions of people worldwide and affected the daily lives of people all around the world. Most of us have been troubled by the virus one way or another. This is the main theme of Ramsey J. Benson's Eggplant Restaurant 2020: Life & Love in the time of COVID-19.

The book has 36 chapters that follow the life of the Moretti family and their Eggplant Restaurant in these difficult times. The three sisters of the Moretti family are the central characters in this story. They are Elena, Liliana and Angelina Moretti. Liliana works as an ICU nurse, Angelina works in the family restaurant as a baker, and Elena has expertise in business and finance. The story spans over a period of six months, the first half of 2020. It explores the daily lives of the sisters and the people around them as they were hit by the pandemic. It also contains some important events and issues that occurred during the pandemic.

In all honesty, I was attracted by the title of the book. I was eager to read a story related to the pandemic, and I can say that I was not disappointed. The best thing about this book was the plot itself. This book is one that everyone can relate to. Almost every major thing that happened during the pandemic is covered in this book. Another thing that I liked was the plot of the three sisters. They represent the three main areas of life that were severely affected. They were the healthcare system, financial market, and social lives of people. Benson has done an incredible job at showing how each field was affected.

Although the plot was strong, the narrative was on the slower side. All the events were described in great detail. At some times, they felt a bit lengthy. I think the reading experience can be enhanced by filtering some background details. I encountered quite a few errors in this book. It needs another round of proofreading. For these reasons, I would rate it 3 out of 4 stars.

All in all, Eggplant Restaurant 2020: Life & Love in the time of COVID-19 is a book that perfectly portrays the life of people during the pandemic. If you are searching for a book that's related to the pandemic, I can easily suggest this. The pace may be slow, but it is not boring. The fact is, everyone who has been through the pandemic can relate to it. This book has the best depiction of the everyday lives of people as the pandemic hit.

I completely agreed that the healthcare system, financial market, and our social lives suffered the most during the heat of the pandemic. I like your review.

The pandemic affected every one of us. And I can say that any business owner can relate with the Moretti family.

We have all been impacted by last year's pandemic in both big and small ways. This book sheds light to the major impacts of the pandemic and I am curious to see how a book based on this event captures the feelings and emotions caused. Thanks for the great review!

I like the idea if the three sisters. It's true that those were the three aspect of life most affected. Thanks for the review!
