Review of Reflection
Reflection: Into The Abyss - Democracy or Autocracy? is a book that serves as an eye-opener written by Les Pruitt. This book is centered around the end time and the events that will usher in this great tribulation period. At the center of this revelation is the examination of the former President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump. The book goes to a great extent in analyzing the role of Coronavirus, its true origin, and its overwhelming importance in setting the pace for the end time. Also, the book discusses various life events that point towards the end time that humans living in this generation will consider normal. The book sees globalization as a technique the Antichrist uses to bring in a one-world government and various other happenings orchestrated by world leaders, who the author considers as agents of Satan.
In the end, there is a charge to believers to remain steadfast and keep believing in Jesus Christ despite all the revelations made in the book about the pre-tribulation, tribulation, and post-tribulation era.
There are a few positive aspects of the book. First, for someone who has been neutral regarding politics, learning such shocking revelations about the former president of the United States, Donald Trump, from the author of the book, is a big shocker. Also, there are several things to learn from the book concerning the end time. For example, I got to learn about the politics behind the outbreak of Coronavirus, popularly called the China Virus, and even the Zika virus of India. Also, I learned that there is a likelihood that the former President, Donald Trump, is a secret agent of the Russian government. I know it is quite laughable, but it is a brow-raising and confident assertion.
There are so many negative aspects of the book that are detrimental to my final rating of this book. First, the style of the book is a big problem. The author used a style where he incorporated various links that redirect a reader for further reading into the body of the work. This made the work appear disorganized and unprofessional and even caused distractions while I read the book. Also, the author had not expressed an interest-free opinion especially concerning matters involving the former president of America, Donald Trump. From the tone of the book, one will notice the malice in the mind of the author towards Donald Trump.
Again, some of the claims in the book were not based on universal premises, which induced the inferences of the author. Most of the claims in the book were based on assumptions and personal opinions of the author, which cannot be verified. For example, when the author talked about the Zika virus in India, he stated that there is a possibility that this virus is revenge on India by Donald Trump. Whatever makes the author draw this inference is unknown to me.
I found the book tiring despite the author's attempt at uncovering the plots of Satan in the end time, some of which are based entirely on personal opinion and assumptions. Although the book seems professionally edited, I found some errors in it, like improper use of punctuation. This made reading tiring and understanding a little bit difficult. I thereby rate the book 2 out of 4 stars mainly for the reasons I've stated above. I couldn't rate it lower because, despite its negative sides, there are a few good qualities of the book too.
For recommendation, well, I believe some people will find the book appealing. Generally, I recommend the book to believers of the gospel of Jesus Christ all over the world, especially in America, particularly those who believe in the rapture. This book contains a lot of Christian doctrines or teachings. I would recommend this book to anyone seeking to learn more about Christianity.
