Terence A. Harkin managed created an original and brilliant work. This book looked a lot like Hacksaw Ridge truly just like the review said. I will definitely grab a copy. Nice review.

I love how the book portrayed war to be unjust. Quite an educative book. Congratulations on BOTD.

A unique plot on a much written war. No matter what, a war leaves more devastation behind for all parties involved in it. The author managed to convey a very strong message through this book. I would love to take up this sometime soon. Congrats on BOTD!!

Although I've read other books with Vietnam War-related themes, this one takes a whole different tack and is more interested in the psyche of the characters; the protagonist's choice to become a monk is a shocking turn of events. This story is on my list of things to read since I absolutely want to learn more about it. Congrats on botd!

Though war books are not my favourite, I would read this book to experience the psychological development of a character who saw many loved ones die, is a pacifist-ish and wants to become a monk.

The storyline of this book is actually an intriguing one. I am not a big fan of reading books based on nonfictional war, whether the story fiction or nonfiction. This seems like an interesting book and people who like reading such will enjoy it. Congratulations on being the book of the day! Nice review too.

The cover looks like the cover of a fairy tale. I never would have imagined that the story was set in the Vietnam War. The protagonist has very interesting ideals; I would like to read this book.

I'm not an ardent historical fiction book lover but lovers of it would definitely find this review worth reading. The war thriller aspect would be engaging also. Congrats on BOTD.

The way in which the book stands out in emotional and psychological depth shows how emotionally capable and intelligent the author must be. I fancy that a lot.

Wars definitely cause many psychological battles for anyone. I'm not knowledgeable about the Vietnam War, as I'm from the Philippines, but maybe it's time to learn.

I agree that it is not uncommon to encounter war stories where the protagonist has an anti-war stance. However, I like that most stories nowadays are like that since wars have no winners: we are all losers.
Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

This is a nice very interesting story. At first, the name of book gives a feeling of a cartoon story only to read and find it based on wars in the past. I enjoyed the review.
