I loved The Book Thief and The Underground Railroad! Both amazing books. I love any kind of historical fiction, as long as it's beautifully written I'll eat it up!

I love historical fiction books that allow you to get lost in the story and yet it seems timeless because of the richness of the characters. I also like it when they comment on life and the human experience in a way which is still relevant and deeply moving. :animals-cat:
Oh, my goodness. "Hotel On the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" is one of my favorites. My heart still hurts when I think about it.

The Book Thief is my favorite, too! An absolutely perfect piece of work!
All the Light we cannot See is also quite an excellent read.

The Book Thief has been one of my all time favorites. You should try The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. This one is an emotional roller coaster ride and a good one at that.

I enjoy historical fiction. Some of my favorites include Katherine by Anya Seton and Autobiography of Henry VIII by Margaret George.

I loved all the books by Bernard Cornwell, particularly his Arthurian series. I also love Conn Iggulden's novels and particularly his Conqueror series.
