The story reminds me of Brave film as well as the Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia Wrede. Some people aren't bothered with getting married and they should be respected. I wonder how her story progressed throughout the book as it relates to the rebellion in England. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Susanna seems to be a very interesting and fierce character. I'm curious whether she got her dream royal dance. Congrats on BOTD!

How you described Susanna raises my interest to learn more about her and and why she don't like men. But I don't know why the entire book is frightening me. Maybe the cover page. But talking abot this page and seeing your review I am wondering if it is not Susanna who fight with men.

I love this character. She charted her own story in a conservative Era. Good for her

England has a long history of rebellion, one that fascinates me immensely. So, I'm sure to enjoy this book, although I'm not so keen on the romance aspect of it.

Beautiful Susanne Mandeville seems like an enigma. I love enigmatic characters, especially when female. I will definitely read this book ASAP. Very interesting review.
