This book sounds interesting, and I can’t wait to see Catrin face her evil brother and fight for her kingdom and forbidden love.

"Skull's Vengeance" by Linnea Tanner is a historical fantasy where Catrin, a Celtic warrior queen, battles her sorcerer half-brother for the throne, with themes of vengeance, love, and mysticism in ancient Rome and Britannia.

Wow! Im excited to read this. It's kind of a challenging read for me since my English comprehension wasn't that great when it comes to historical fiction. It's interesting to know more about Celtic tradition... I'm a fan of high fantasy, and this book I think would enjoy me.

Historical novels having a good amount of fantasy and magic are generally liked by the young readers who have an interest for mysterious and vengeance material. However, if such books have a well knitted story then more readers would go for that. This book seems to belong to that category.
Thanks for a precise review.

This book sounds like an epic blend of historical fiction and fantasy, with Catrin's journey to overthrow her dark magic-wielding brother and reclaim her throne. The mix of romance, politics, and druid magic makes it a thrilling read. Congrats on BOTD!

Linnea Tanner's Skull's Vengeance is a work of fiction that combines actual events from ancient Britain and Rome. Some of the Celtic characters in the novel were real, although they were fictional. Two notable instances are the king of Catuvellauni and Cunobelin. On the other hand, an epic novel was created by the imaginative fusion of this work of fiction with historical documents.

I would love to read the other books in this series. From the sample, this book seems engaging. I hope Catrin will draw strength from her father and other allies to destroy her enemies and take her rightful place as the queen of Cantiaci. Thanks for an insightful review.

I have not read much with regards to the Romans, but the reviewer apparently has to be able to relate it to real life back in the day. I do love the druids, shape-shifting, and magical elements, though, and the sample I read sounds like a series I would like to start from the beginning, even though the reviewer said it could be read alone. Thank you for the great review.

Every love relationship has opstircles but they started again, I believe if they put their differences aside they both can go somewhere with their love relationship and at the end Marcellus will be able to keep the legacy and Catrin be able to fulfill their wishes. There after they will be a happy couple in love.

Blending history and fiction, Skull’s Vengeance by Linnea Tanner vividly brings to life the turbulent era of ancient Britannia and Rome. The forbidden love between Marcellus, a Roman, and Catrin, a Celt, adds a thrilling layer to the story. Set during the reign of Emperor Tiberius, the novel delves into the harsh realities of slave trading, child exploitation, and ancient Celtic traditions, weaving a complex and immersive narrative. Tanner’s deep connection to these historical elements makes the story all the more intriguing.

The novel masterfully intertwines historical fact with fiction, making the world of ancient Britannia and Rome feel immersive and authentic, especially with the inclusion of real Celtic figures like Cunobelin.

This is an interesting story of Marrock's absolute desperation for power and the throne, I hope the love and romance between Catrin and Marcellus prevails over Marcellus love for Rome, so Bratannia may find freedom from the Reign of Marrock

There was a time when I loved books like this that were either fantasy or historical fiction based on the mythologies of ancient Earth's civilizations. Their epic adventures, woven together with complex plots and a long cast of well–rounded characters, both good and evil, reminded me of Hollywood's so-called Sword-and-Sandal movies. I've gotten over them, for the most part. The excerpt just proved it to me. Sometimes the magic is too violent and grotesque for me.
The power to say, ‘This is who I am & I expect that your respect for me will define your support of me,’ is something people with disabilities have longed to say.”
