I appreciate how you highlighted the clever use of a familiar fable format to deliver important lessons about building fortified homes in hurricane-prone areas. Your point about the book being both informative and enjoyable, especially with the beautiful illustrations, really captures its unique appeal. It’s great to hear that the story kept your attention while effectively conveying the importance of preparedness and resilience.

The way this book turns a familiar childhood fable into a guide for adult homeowners is genius. I’m interested in learning what a “continuous load path” means and how I can apply that knowledge to future home renovations.Thank you for educative review.

The usage of cartoon characters makes it easier to convey the message of considering fortification in homeownership.

I agree with you regarding the cover. It's harmless since you were "surprised but not disappointed." :) However, if adults are the target audience, they might overlook it. Additionally, it is listed as Historical Fiction on OBC.
Thanks for the detailed review @Gerry Steen. One more book added to my long list of TBR.
