Hans Bracher had to quickly flee Berlin after being molested and arrested by the SA. After Hans moved to Nochern to live with Anna Gerson and her parents, things quickly went south when all Jewish-owned businesses were forced to close due to boycotts. The SA continued to conduct extensive searches for Hans. He must therefore depart from Nochern once more and travel to France as a result.
