Thank you for your thoughtful review. Valentina's strength in the face of such trauma is truly moving, and Belle Ami's ability to blend personal struggle with historical events makes Mona Lisa’s Daughter both powerful and insightful. I appreciate your balanced critique, while the untranslated Italian may be a challenge, the emotional depth and historical richness clearly make this a worthwhile read. Still, it sounds like Mona Lisa’s Daughter leaves a lasting impact, both emotionally and intellectually. Thank you for the recommendation. I’ll definitely add it to my reading list.

Mona Lisa's Daughter" by Belle Ami, a book that features a teenager and her strength in the midst of trauma. It will be interesting to read about her survival after the traumatic event and her time in the Convent.

This review paints a layered picture of Mona Lisa’s Daughter, and I really appreciate how it highlights both the personal trauma Valentina endures and the broader historical backdrop of WWII. Even without having read the book, the mention of a mysterious treasure linked to Da Vinci adds a fascinating thread of intrigue. It sounds like the novel weaves together tragedy, resilience, and history in a compelling way.

Thank you for the review. I read the sample. I read that Valentina is taken to a convent to live while she is pregnant. She helps the somewhat illiterate nun in charge of the library to copy letters written 400 years ago. Interesting stories intertwined; a book I will read.

I completely understand the anger and heartbreak that comes with reading stories of such violence, especially when they involve young women like Valentina. Her strength and resilience, even after such devastating trauma, are truly inspiring. It’s powerful how Belle Ami weaves personal pain with historical tragedy, showing not just the horrors of war and injustice, but also the human capacity for endurance and love. Your mention of the treasure box and Da Vinci’s love story adds such an intriguing layer to the narrative, showing that even in dark times, beauty and hope can still exist. I appreciate your thoughtful critique as well. It leaves a lasting impact, both emotionally and intellectually.

 Definitely not my cup of tea, because I refuse to touch anything soiled by the violence of war, especially when it happens to practically a child and, despite admiration, the strength she shows in bearing consequences doesn't change my mind. Sorry and congrats!

I was taken advantage of in a sexual way by someone I trusted, and till this day, I still struggle to come out of the trauma. So, I understand what Valentina must be going through due to Dante Coli's wicked act. I look forward to reading this book because it speaks personally to me.

This truly an interesting book to read and it’s personal. My closest nephew was a product of the same manner of violation. Though we love him greatly we abhor the abuse and felt very sad for my cousin who was the victim. In this evil world, unfair and wicked things such as these and the unimaginable way of handling the matter continues to exist. This book will enable us to reserve empathy and love and respect towards whom we ever meet whatever their circumstances may have been. I’m excited to read this book!

Thank you for your engaging and well-written review. I think I've read Valentina's story somewhere. It is so heartbreaking. I'm curious how it's connected to Leonardo da Vinci. But I'm not interested in continuing to read due to the language barrier.

'Official Review: Mona Lisa's Daughter' by Belle Ami sketches out the contents of the fiction. Readers get a complete idea of the exquisite tale. They will learn about the box of treasure passed down from nun to nun, starting from Suor Ludovica. This treasure told a love story about Da Vinci, a well-known Italian artist. The book provides detailed information about the Second World War and its impact on Italy. It was great to learn that the work is historical and insightful!

This is a story of courage, overcoming difficulties, and survival. The book tells of a rape that resulted in pregnancy and rejection by her family. But our protagonist gave birth and loved her baby. In an unexpected twist, the protagonist's mother found her a husband, the same person who raped her. A profound and revealing book worth reading.

Belle Ami has always been a standout author known for her rich storyline and mind-blowing time-linetwist. "Mona Lisa's Daughter" carries the trauma of Valentina. SA sets the stage.
