Hi guys,

Any recommendations similar to Conn and David Gemmell.

I've tried Simon Scarrow and Bernard Cornwell but didn't get the same vibe.

If you want less gore and more mystery I would suggest Steven Saylor's Roma Sub Rosa series. Start at the beginning with Roman Blood. HIs research is meticulous, but rarely gets in the way of the action.

I particularly enjoy Iggulden and Cornwell, I would appreciate any other recommendations if anyone has any?
