I recently conducted a piece of carefully-controlled, scientific research in an attempt to investigate the issue. It's all in the interests of authenticity, of course. Our next door neighbours have two dogs: Betty and Margot. Betty is a labrador-rottweiler cross, and Margot a pure labrador. Under laboratory conditions, I coaxed both dogs into licking my eye. Extreme, I know, but such a tiny sacrifice for our craft! The results: Margot - sloppy. Betty - raspy. I don't feel any further forward!
Hope you are well.
Regards.

Well, I can't argue with science - nor your own personal experience. I do hereby withdraw my criticism. That leaves your book, in my opinion, a solid - unequivocally solid, 4 out of 4 rating! I must say that it was mighty brave of you to let a rottweiler lick your eye - especially being the cat person that you are.denniscarey wrote:Hello, DennisK.

I like cats too, MsMartha - wished I could keep some, but the wildlife here has them on their menu.MsMartha wrote:Since I'm a cat person, I'm finding all of this very interesting. (Well, OK, not a total cat person--I love dogs too, but since I have four cats, I haven't added a dog to the group...)
