I read the first sentence of this review and I literally said the word "damn" for the first time in a while. It's so dark, and it's even more scary that I'm interested.

You could imagine the expression on my face when I was reading such a thing related to a church setting. I won't blame sir Anthony for questioning his faith. Nice review.

Those meant to defend the faith are those pulling it down. The book is an interesting book and was well written. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

Medieval justice and political powers are considered to be crude and barbaric; however, today is just as cruel. The only difference we have now is different weapons and manipulative policies to dictate the way we live. Nice review.

This is a historical novel with the themes of mystery, romance, adventure, crime, corruption, science, etc. The story talks about how Anthony was hired to investigate a series of unusual murders with the return of hefty rewards after the completion of his mission. The book is entertaining but contains provoking story. Thanks for the great review.

The cover art was something I noted about this book. Detective with conspiracy themes make the book to stand up. The investigation which may lead up to big people in big position is scary to watch because it means betrayal is pending.

The book is so much filled with adventure, it catches ones attention as to what is going on all over the world. It inspires me to voraciously devour it.

This doesn't really appeal to me, but it sounds like a great read for those who love crime and mystery books. The front cover looks ominious. Thanks for the informative review.

Thank you for your great review. I'm glad you enjoyed the book. I'm not sure if it is exactly my type, but since it was free, I will hang on to it and perhaps read it at a later time. It reminded me a little bit, at the beginning, of a play by Shakespeare, so maybe I will like it more than I think. There did seem like quite a few characters at the beginning and Pietro seemed to know a lot about a lot of people. I hope I don't get all confused and I will understand it without reading the first book.

I always appreciate books that aim at open-minded readers. It could confuse some readers but could be a thought-provoking story. Although with historical-religious background, a thriller novel is not the kind of story I'd like. The review is well-written and shows its main points. Great review!

The story is bizarre, but this book is definitely a page turner. Beginning with the very catchy cover page, the themes discussed would consolidate that and keep one glued to this. Thanks for your review!

I really love the concept of power hungry religious readers and their greed being explored in this novel, can’t wait to read it!
