There are a lot of questions which would be nice to read this book and get answers to. I particularly would love to enlighten my self on "What are the requirements to become a test pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force?"

Not everyone had a smooth highschool experience. High school is a tough place for disadvantaged students. I loved how Graham walked us through the life of Delbert—his relatable begining and his inspirational ending. The surrounding emotional themes in the book were fleshed out, and I really enjoyed reading about Delbert's journey on become test pilot.

I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out how Delbert Pillage addressed the difficult challenges in life such as bullying and harassment and how Sylvia changed him.

This sounds great! There is a lot going on in this book. And I love the positive messages from the story. Bullying is everywhere at anytime. Delbert's story is inspiring. But as someone who was bullied, I can't relate with him because I'm now depressed and my bullies have more success life. Bitter. Anyways, thank you for sharing your thoughts. Very informative review.

"Life Shattered" by Sandy Graham dives into the world of Delbert, a young boy grappling with relentless bullying and the challenges of growing up in poverty. It's troubling to witness gifted children forced to suppress their talents to avoid being targeted. Delbert's journey promises a poignant narrative of resilience and determination as he navigates these obstacles and strives to achieve success against the odds.

We must accommodate in schools all neurodiversity, including gifted kids. I love stories set in the 50s, and my husband and I were high-school sweethearts, too! Thank you for your review.

'Official Review: Life Shattered' by Sandy Graham has a thought-provoking introduction. It provides an insight into the plot of the historical fiction tale. The point that the story illustrates how the protagonist overcame adversity and soared to new heights is worth mentioning in the review. The author created realistic characters that the readers could believe in. Also, as mentioned in the review, the story emphasized the values of perseverance, doing one's best, humbleness, appreciation, loyalty, and kindness. It was great to learn that we feel like a supportive community helping the protagonist excel!

Overcoming such bullies never seems to be easy, i encounter situations where many children couldn't survive this, i'm impress that derbelt was able to overcome it, but was it just because he was gifted minded and he noticed he was?, which overweighted the bullies on his chest? What actually gives him the courage ? Was the courage geared by his teacher whom noticed his gift ? .
Also I'm interested to know what sylvial finds interesting in derbelt to form a friendship with with him. Was it it because she was a shy girl, and likely categorized thesame with derbelt? Shy kids can easily be shamed as well. I can't wait to read the whole book to understand more.

The reviewer values the book's perceptive analysis of the value of encouraging talented people and placing a strong emphasis on persistence. The author illustrates the benefits of such encounters by sharing his own story of overcoming hardship. The book's viewpoint on schools, student types, and the possible advantages of education is also appreciated by the reviewer. The book will be added to their list of things to read.

I love books where the hero wins and where the child no one thought would make do. It sounds like this book answers many questions—an excellent 5-star review.

It's sad that Delbert was bullied as a result of many things which he had no control over. However, it's great that there are many programs in place to help people like Delbert. I'll check this book out.
