I still remember the house where I grew up. The image is so vivid as if I was still living there. This story seems to be a cute story that teaches the reader to appreciate home and family bonds. I don't think I'll read this one, though. Thanks for the review!

The premise sounds like it would be too drawn out and slow for me, but then I've never been much of a reader for family dramas. The setting and the descriptions of the coastal sights and culture do sound lovely though! I think that's what would appeal to me most.

A family drama that maybe doesn't do anything fancy to stick out, but it did just enough to keep me snuggled on the couch with it. Generational stories about what it means to grow up with a big family, with changing assets, and how the idea of "family" can be changed by something as simple as having - or not - the same place to call home.

Very great review of this book. In this book, Jeanne Mc Williams Blasberg shows the effects of family secrets on relationships among family members. I think by capturing this important matter, it has created interest on this book.

The fact that the author has taken time to develop the characters is also a big plus.
