The McTavish Regressions, is a book that shows part of the musings and active thoughts of individuals. Giving a life story of a practical example of what happens. It really gives a fiction work with a bit of explaining some historical terms and past life regression, psychology was embedded in the work. I will rate the work 3.5 out of 4 star, and that is because the writers story-line was systematic and captivating enough and yet been able to pass in some relevant information in historical and Psychological fields.

In reading the first part of chapter one I thought this was a self help book. It's an interview. It did not succeed in grabbing my interest. It's not for me.

My favorite genre! And I was interested in therapy by means of Past Life Regression theme since I discovered it through on of the episodes of X-Files. So I would have read this book anyway, but unique storyline is no doubt great bonus!

This sounds pretty unique. I’m not a big believer of things like past lives so I’m not sure I’d get too into the story. Thanks for your review.

Quite a fascinating topic Past Life Regression though I have not read much about before. The book has the makings on an interesting story. It's a pity the book is rather short. Thanks for a great review.

Very interesting plot, past life Regression theme makes it sound so great but like the review above stated the book is too short to incorporate such an amazing plot. In future the author might consider adding some more details.

Thank you for the review. It would appear to me that you were very generous giving 3 stars. Bad story, bad characters, and bad editing would be three strikes and out for me. If you are going to do "historical" portions of a book at least do them justice, this sounds like it falls short. Even at 89 pages, it doesn't appear to be worth my time. Thank you for the very honest review!

I'm not a big fan of historical fiction. So this is going to be a no from me. It's just not my cup of tea.

Thanks for the candid review! At first, it seemed like the kind of historical fiction I'd read. But, because I do not believe in past life regression, I simply pass. Best wishes to the author on the #BOTD 💃

It's a shame that the book is only 87 pages long. Usually in a story that short, it isn't easy to develop a character. Initially, the book sounded interesting because I love being transported into the past, but you mentioned that the lack of descriptions made it impossible. I also dislike cliffhangers, so I think I'll have to pass on this book.

The phenomenon is new to me: past life regression. Still wondering about its applicability but the book will make a good read for me, especially given that it has a bit of history in it. Thanks for the nice, honest, and enlightening review.

Thanks for your review. It sound like you enjoyed this book overall. I agree though, 87 pages does seem rather short and it is surprising that the opening theme of using regression therapy to help solve crimes is not carried on within this first book. I would also appreciate resolution of some kind in the first book. Some cliffhanger is ok but I don’t enjoy a complete cliffhanger.

Thanks for your review! It's a shame that the book is so short; the premise of past life regression sounds really interesting! I'm curious to learn about Laura's past life as a dancer. It would have been nice if the settings were more accurate to the locations and times. This would make the book feel more immersive.

I read the review and it was well done. However, the premise of the book did not appeal to me personally, so I really did not develop an interest in the book.
