You have a very eloquent writing style. I am intrigued to know how the blue-eyed boy (and, obviously, his family and neighbors) is affected by the slavery of the landlords.

The review is well written, however, it just dosen't convey anything that appeals to me. The story seems unclear. Is he a hero? Someone to fear because of his powers or the savior? The Devil himself once walked among good. I can't follow the story line.

After reading so many war stories, Kuimba is a refreshing change. Though he was born around the start of WWII, Kuimba's story tells of his uniqueness. A boy who affected the lives of everyone/thing around him with his special abilities. Worthy of reading and re-reading.

Kuimba is a mystical tale of a blue-eyed African-American boy. The book is slow-paced with strong character development. Congratulations to the author for writing this beautiful book chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your deep and intriguing review.

The characters dialogue and slow tempo could be part of the perceived southern cultural norm. Began reading the free sample and the southern twang and slow pace of the life depicted definitely sounds like what you reviewed. Nice review!

This sounds like a nice enough book. I wonder how the parents and their families reacted to the blue eyes of their newborn. I'm not into books on slavery of any kind, so I'll pass but I'm sure this will be a treat for lovers of the genre. Thanks for the review.

An Interesting historical-fiction "Kuimba" by Priscilla B Shuler, which has the timelines that coincide with the start of the first world war, but has nothing to do with world war, and the Americans joined the Allied forces after three years from that period of world war. The book gives a good glimpse of enslavement practice that was prevailing in those time.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical fiction novel about a boy born around the beginning of WWI to an African American couple and the miracle-like occurrences that transpire in this boy's life. It might be worth a second look. Well done.
