I’m looking forward to digging into this novel to find out how Elizabeth McCourt survived amid the many difficult hurdles she has to surpass especially that of losing her baby. I like reading real stories and this one is right up my alley.

Harvey sounds like a spoilt child. The title of this book piqued my interest. I really admire Elizabeth and wonder what happened to her in the end. I’m interested in this book.

There are few things I love more than a well-written heroine! The fact that she was a real historical figure makes this story even better. Excellent review, and congrats on book of the day!

She sure sounded like a brave woman, who broke through the odds stacked against her. Dressing as a man and working through her pregnancy in order to make ends meet proves her resilience. Thanks for the informative review.

I am fascinated by the work that Baby Doe did in her husband's gold mine.
I congratulate the author for Book of the Day!

This well-written biographical historical fiction about Baby Doe sounds like a page turner. She seems like she was a strong woman who didn't care what society deemed appropriate. Great review!

This review brilliantly highlights the events related to the rush for gold in the 1800s in Colorado, but it brings to light the issues women faced in that period.

I do love historical novels, and the history shared within this one makes it especially attractive to me. I love the way it highlights the strength of the female lead character. I also like how the books indicates problems in society and how women were treated in the 1880s. This looks like an interesting story. Thank you for a wonderfully-detailed review!

Thank you for your great review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the book so much. Baby Doe sounds like a remarkable woman. The fact that this is based on a true story is a plus. After reading your review and all that she went through, I have decided to add it to my list of books to read.

At first I thought it's just another romance story. I never expected it to be about a woman who made a difference in the history of feminism. Such inspiring story will help us understand about Baby Doe and how she stood her ground in times when women weren't allowed to voice out their opinions. Congratulations on the BOTD.

'Official Review: GOLD DIGGER, The Remarkable Baby Doe Tabor' by Rebecca Rosenberg well describes the engaging historical fiction story of the book for keen readers. It presents all the relevant details of the author's work for readers. The point that the book shows the life of miners during the gold rush era is worth mentioning in the review. Also, the point that the reviewer had heard of Baby Doe and the Matchless Mine as a wild west legend, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the book also has a touch of romance for readers who like a beautiful love story!

It's amazing to read about how hardworking Elizabeth was. It's so painful she had to lose her pregnancy and the marriage. Nice review. Congratulations on BOTD.
