I liked the review. I do enjoy a good historical novel. I do not like the formatting either. I think I will skip this one for that reason alone.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting historical story about a young woman who is in search for her missing boyfriend during the time when the communist government is in charge. Will she find him? It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I love the plot and the storyline of this book. The author did a good job in the formatting and characterization of this book. I'd love to know if Virginia solved the mystery of her missing boyfriend. Thanks for your honest review.

This book has an intriguing storyline that follows a theme about friendship through a unique point in history. Living during an oppressive government regime sounds harsh and this book definitely details the way the characters lives change. Congrats on the BOTD!

This historical-fiction novel set in Romania during the communist regime. I'm not into story with political issue in it. But the central theme is about true friendship and also I like the book with a great twist. The questions from the review reach my curiosity. I wanna know if Jenica and Virginia would be together again. Thank you for a nice review.

The review on house of spark was to say the least a bit insightful. It clearly but narrowly showed the story of Virginia, the death of father and brother, her relocating to the United States and also the sudden thought of Jenica whereabouts.
I'll really love to read the entire the piece 💖 f the book

To be honest I didn't expect it to be a detective story from seeing the cover alone. Thank you for the informative review.

This young adult historical fiction sounds like it is well-written that will teach young teens the realistic, negative aspects of communism through mystery and suspense. I hope it becomes a classic and a requirement to read. Great review!

Set in communist Romania, today's BOTD is a historical fiction novel that follows 3 characters as they search for their missing friend. Readers who enjoy mysteries with twists and turns, as well as stories about romance and friendship, will love this one. Thank you so much! :-)

The reviewer started with deep questions I think everyone should ask themselves in regards to friendship. The setting in the Romanian communist government makes the plot more intriguing to read.
