Sounds like an interesting book. Maybe I'll give it a try. I'm curious what kind of actions i will find in it. Thanks for the review.

Wow! I can appreciate an expertly narrated war story from the author's perspective. I like the idea of an opening statement that could bring curiosity to read the rest of the book. But this doesn't mean I would read it. I'm just not a fan of war books. Thank you for a wonderfulreview.

Graydon McWilliams chronicles the good and bad of war. A unique and detailed perspective. The events of the war are terrible; it is admirable that the author wrote a book of this type. I like that the author had no limits or shame when writing this book. Thanks for the review.

It is true that the horrors of war can only be understood by those who have been in the battlefield. I wonder which war is the book about. I like war stories and historical fiction so this is right up my alley.

The first line is interest grabbing I must say. I would want to read this book to find out why someone would miss war. Excellent review

I've heard from other people that they miss the camaraderie and the structure that a military setting provides but war in itself never.
What an intriguing premise! And I love how your personality shines through your review.

This is very interesting. One lesson I took away from this book was the importance of avoiding judgment. I adore the author's viewpoint, and I can't wait to read more of this novel.

This will be an excellent read for those who would like to get the honest perspective of a soldier on and off the battlefield. Graydon McWilliams has a gift for sharing his thoughts and feelings, and he seems to tell it like it is without holding back.

I am notorious for picking books based on the fist few lines rather than the blurb. Has this approach left me with books I would have rather not read, yes. I am glad that the book keeps being as interesting as the first line! As a lover of history and militant novels, this is now on my to t.b.r list!
